How do I find out what my move in Ulm will cost?

The easiest way is a free, no-obligation on-site visit — arranged by phone, email or online request. Alternatively, we assess the scope from a detailed inventory list or a video survey and prepare your fixed-price quote, usually within 24 hours.

Can I get a quote without an on-site visit?

Yes. For long-distance or quick enquiries, a detailed inventory list or a video survey is enough. That way you receive a reliable, tailor-made quote even from a distance.

Am I obliged to accept the quote after an enquiry?

No. An enquiry is entirely non-binding. A binding contract only arises through mutual agreement — not from merely requesting a quote.

Is there a weekend surcharge?

No, we do not charge a surcharge for moves at the weekend. Due to demand, however, early booking is recommended.

Site visit & advice

Is the on-site visit free?

Yes. The visit is one of our exclusive services for our customers in and around Ulm and is, of course, free and non-binding.

How long does a visit take?

In our experience about 15–20 minutes — depending on the scope of your move. We discuss the individual planning and possible additional services right away.

Do you also offer a video survey?

Yes. Via video call we go through your home together — ideal when things need to move fast or you are not on site.

Dates & booking

How far in advance should I book?

For flexible dates, 2–3 weeks is enough. For specific weekends or during the summer months, as early as possible. If a no-parking zone is needed, at least 2 weeks beforehand.

Who arranges the no-parking zone — and what does it cost?

We are happy to take care of it when the parking situation requires it. The cost depends on the location (municipality and effort) — we tell you the exact price in advance. The no-parking zone is set up 96 hours before the move.

Can I reschedule my date?

As a rule, yes. Please note: re-applying for the no-parking zone incurs a fee that depends on the location. Same-day changes are unfortunately not possible.

Are there extra costs for several loading or unloading addresses?

Yes, each additional loading or unloading address means extra effort. The exact cost depends on the individual case — you receive it transparently in your fixed-price quote.

Packing & material

What types of boxes are there?

Book boxes (with a reinforced bottom), wardrobe boxes (with a hanging rail) and standard boxes. We deliver them to you and collect them again after the move.

How heavy may the moving boxes be?

Heavy enough that they can still be carried easily. Distribute the weight sensibly and pack heavy items at the bottom, light ones on top.

Is the packing material included in the price?

We bill packing material separately — just talk to us and we will provide everything you need. More on this under packing material.

Insurance, law & special cases

Is my furniture insured during the move?

Yes, transports are carried out with the legally required transport insurance; extended coverage is possible on request. Details on the page insurance & safety.

How does a move via the authority / job centre work?

Submit three quotes to your authority. After approval, on moving day you present the cost-acceptance form together with your ID for signature — we take care of the rest.

Does deinMove also do moves abroad?

Yes. We carry out EU-wide moves, e.g. to Austria, France, Italy and Spain — nationally and internationally from a single source. More under international moves.

Do you also offer storage?

Yes, we store your goods dry, secure and flexibly — ideal for bridging the time between two moves. See storage.
